Suppose you are trying to estimate the number of field mice in a small field. one day you capture 100 mice, mark them and release them. the next day you capture 150 mice of which 15 are marked. what is the estimate for the population size?

    You start with 100 unmarked mice. Then you capture 150 more but 15 of them are marked.

    150-15=135

    135 + 100 = 235

    The estimated mice population is about 235 mice
