We multiply the fraction of 3/4 to the whole number 24 to get the equivalent number of the fraction.

    24 * 3/4 = (24 * 3) / 4 = 72/4 = 18

    3/4 of 24 is 18.

There are 18 blue tiles out of the 24 tiles used.
