    -4m+20=50

    add 4m to both sides because I dislike negatives

    20=50+4m

    subtract 50 from both sides

    -30=4m

    divide both sides by 4

    -30/4=m

    -15/2=m

    -7 and 1/2=m

    -4m + 20 = 50

    -20 - 20

    50 - 20 = 30

    -4m = 30

    -4m/-4 = 30/-4

    m = - 7.5
