A farmer plans to use 180 feet of fencing to enclose a rectangular region, using part of a straight river bank instead of fencing as one side of the rectangle, as shown in the figure.

    If you are asking how many feet of fencing the farmer would have to use if he used the river bank to enclose one part of the rectangle he would need to use 135 feet of fencing

    180/4 = 45 180 - 45 = 135
