    2.7 hours

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Given that

Marcie spent 3 and 3 by 5 hours for studying the last night

she spent one fourth of the time in studying the history

So, the number of hours she has taken for an art is

The total time taken for 3 and 3 by 5 hours is

    = 180 minutes + 36 minutes

    = 216 minutes

The 36 minutes is come from

    = 3 : 5 * 60 minutes

    = 0.6 * 60 minutes

    = 36 minutes

The one by fourth is taken for studying history i. e

    = 216 minutes * 1 : 4

    = 54 minutes

So, the number of hours or fraction for studying the art is

    = 216 minutes - 54 minutes

    = 162 minutes

    = 2.7 hours

We assume she studies two subjects only art and history
