1/15 is fifteen parts of one

so to get a whole, you have to multiply 1/15 by 15 to get one

you also need to multiply 1/5 by 15 so that everything remains equal

therefore 1/5 * 15 = 3 ounces of butter for one pound of jelly

    3 Oz because 1/5:1/15. You do 1/5 * 15 and get 3. ~JZ
