Geometry the length of a rectangle is twice the width. find the width if the perimeter is 60 centimeters. define a variable, write an equation, and solve the problem.

    Length = 2x

    width=x

    Perimeter=60

    To find the perimeter you have to add all the sides

    So it will look like this:

    2x+x+2x+x=60

    6x=60

    x=60/6

    x=10

    The width of the rectangle is 10 cm
