    W=5.3, l = 15.6

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Perimeter of a rectangle p=2 (l+w)

    P = 42

    W = x

    L = 5+2x therefore 42=2 (5+2x+x)

    42=10+6x, 32=6x

    Make x subject of formula

    X=32/6 x=5.3 there for w=5.3

    Where L = 5+2x; L=5+2 (5.3)

    L therefore = 15.6
