You would first need rto put the equation in slope intercept form by subtracting - 5x and adding 8 to both sides the you will divide two from each #. Then your equation will be in slope intercpt form which allows you identyify 4 as the y intercpt and - 5/2x as the slope.
2y+5x-8=0
-5x + 8 - 5x + 8 = 2y=-5x+8
2y/2=-5x/2+8/2
y=-5/2x+4
