A packet of mixed fruit contains 10 bananas, 12 apples, 3 oranges and 5 pears.

What percentages of the fruit are: bananas and pears?

    There are 30 fruits all together. 15 bananas and pears. 15/30 would be the fraction. Reduce 15/30 to 1/2, then you know that 1/2 is the same as. 5 or 50% because 50% is half
