224 7/10
One way to change this into a decimal is first changing the mixed fraction into an improper fraction. This can be done by multiplying the whole number (224) by the denominator (10) and then adding the numerator (7) to that number, and make sure to keep the denominator (10) the same.
224 7/10 = 2247/10
Then all you do is division or input it into a calculator to get the answer.
2247/10 = 224.7
Another way to do it is first look at the fraction (7/10). 7 out of 10, this would look like 0.7. 1 out of 10 is 0.1, 10 out of 10 is 1.0, etc. So now that you know the fraction is 0.7, all you do is add the whole number (224) to it, and you get:
224 + 0.7 = 224.7
Either way, the answer will be 224.7.
