    Your answer is: m = - 6

    Here is the simplest way to do it:

    3m=5 (m+3) - 3

    =5 (m+3) - 3: 5m+12

    =3m=5m+12

    =3m-5m=5m+12-5m

    =-2m=12

    =-2m/-2=12/-2

    =m=-6
