Two trains leave stations 266 miles apart at the same time and travel toward each other. one train travels at 85 miles per hour while the other travels at 105 miles per hour. how long will it take for the two trains to meet? do not do any rounding.

    The closing speed of the trains is 85 + 105 = 190 miles per hour. The amount of time for the two trains to meet is 266/190 = 1.4 hours.

    The answer is therefore 1.4 hours.
