    Option C is the answer.

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Given that four neighborhood children opened their own lemonade stand. The sales by the four were as follows:

    A. 1⁄2

    B. 4⁄7

    C. 3⁄4

    D. 7⁄12

    We cannot compare these sales as such since they have different denominators.

    To compare we find the Least common denominator for all the four first.

    2,7,4,12 have lCD = 12 (7) = 84

    Now make equivalent fractions for all the four.

    A. 1⁄2 = 42/84

    B. 4⁄7 = 48/84

    C. 3⁄4 = 63/84

    D. 7⁄12 = 49/84

    Now since denominator is the same we compare and find that

    C = 63/84 is the largest value.

    Hence Option C is the answer.
