    Answer: 26 girls are there

    Step-by-step explanation:

2+1 = 3 - this is the # of parts the kids are divided into

    2 - 1 = 1, in one part there are 26 xtra boys

26/1=26 - there are 26 boys and girls in one part

since there are an extra 26 boys, the boys have an extra part

    boys-2 parts girls-1 part

since 1 part has 26 kids, and the boys have 2 parts u need to multiply, 2*26=52, 52 boys in the class

since the girls have 1 part and here are 26 kids in one part the # of girls in the class are

I think its 18, because if there's 2 boys to 1 girl then if there's 18 girls then there is an equivalent 18 boys to match, plus another 18, which would put the ratio of boy to girl at 2:1
