the floor in the back of karl's trunk is 6 ft long and has area of 24 ft^2. Karl wants to haul as many boxes on the floor as possible. He cannot stack the boxes or they will fall out as he drives. If each square box is 2 ft long, how many boxes can karl fit in the back of his truck

    24ft^2 = 6ft*4ft

    each box has 2ft sides, that makes the box 4ft^2

    (24ft^2) / (4ft^2) = 6

    Karl can haul 6 boxes
