Given the functions f (x) 3x - 4 and g (x) = 4x + 10, find the value of x for which f (x) = g (x)

    If f (x) = g (x), then you would set them equal to each other.

    3x-4=4x+10 Subtract 3x from both sides:

    -4=x+10 Subtract 10 from both sides:

    -14=x And now you have your answer.
