The trail starts at P (-2, 2) and goes to Q (5, 2). It goes from Q to R (5, - 5) and then to S (8, - 5). What is the total length (in units) of the biking trail?

    If you draw this out on a graph you can count the units but if not you must take the change from P (-2) to Q (5) Ignore the y's since they're the same. So there is a space of 7 between the numbers which can found found by counting up from - 2. Q (2) to R (-5) ignore the x's since they're the same. So on and so forth ending up with an answer of 17units traveled
