Mr. two brought in cookies for his class. He gave out half of them in the morning. At lunch he gave out 14 more. He then had 8 cookies left. How many cookies did he start with?

    He had 44 cookies because if he gave out half of them then you would add what he had left after he gave the other half of them away which 14 + 8 is 22 and 22*2 is 44 so the answer is 44 cookies

    He started with 44 cookies. 8+14=22 22*2=44 To check your answer, 44:2=22 22-14=8 8 cookies remaining at the end of the day!
