    Take any fraction, proper or improper, and then multiply both the numerator and denominator by any number you want.

    An example is one-half (1/2)

    1/2 = 2/4 = 4/8 = 12/24 = 25/50 = 50/100 = 1000/2000 = 1024/2048

    All of those are the same 1:2 ratio, just expressed in different forms.
