What is the work for y/3+1=6 and what is the solution

    First this is a two step equation quite hard to do in writing. Anyways

    you have y/3 + 1 = 6 first you need to get y/3 along with the answer to do that you do the opposite of what the number is for, you subtract 1 from 6 and from the number 1. This leaves you with y/3 + 0 = 5 the 0 is useless, do away with it also get rid of the + sign you do not have anything to add. This leaves you with y/3 = 5 you multiply by 3 on both sides so you now have y/3 * 3 = 5 * 3, input everything the 3 cancels out and becomes a 0 (do not really understand why) and 5*3 happens. You now have y = 15, that is your answer
