A hiker climbs up a steep bank and then rests for a minute. He then walks up a small hill and finally across a flat plateau. What sketch of a graph could represent the elevation of the hiker?

    rising rapidly at first then slowly keeps rising then it goes straight longitude and its a flat line

    First, draw a very steep slope (growing upwards, to symbolize climbing up the steep bank and then a short flat line (no slope) to symbolize his rest. Then draw a slope that's not as steep as the first (walking up a small hill) and finally and long flat line (no slope) to symbolize the flat plateau
