The square footage of a room is 1400 feet. If the one side is 25 ft long, what is the length of the other side?

    It’s 56 feet long.

    A = length x width

    A = 1400

    Length = 25 (width could be 25 as well but it doesn’t really matter)

    1400=25w

    25 25 (Divide 25 on both sides)

    (The 25’s cancel out)

    56 = w (You got your answer)
