    solution:

    olynomial functions are the functions of the from p (x) p (x) = a_{n}x_{n}+a_{n-1}x_{n-1} + ... + a_{1}x_{1}+a0x0anxn + a_{n-1}x_{n-1} + ... + a_{1}x_{1} + a0x0 where an≠0an≠0. The terms a, a2, ... a, a2, ... are the coefficients. The polynomial is named to the degree it is having, that is, the value of n.

    1. If n = 4, it is a quartic or bi-quadratic polynomial function.

    2. If n = 3, it is a cubic polynomial function.

    3. If n = 2, it is a quadratic polynomial function.

    4. If n = 1, it is a linear function.
