Employee is on the 48th floor.

    Step-by-step explanation:

    We know that,

total number of stories in The World Trade Centre building = 110,

number of stories employee rode by elevator = 83; and

number of stories employee came down by = 35.

So to find the current floor that the employee is now, we just need to subtract the number of stories that the employee came down from the number of stories she rode in the elevator before.

    Floor on which the employee currently is = 83 - 35 = 48

Therefore, the employee is now on the 48th floor.
