    Get the equations to have just one y.

    y+3x-3x=6x+1-3x 9x-3y-9x=7-9x

    y=3x+1 - 3y/-3 = (7-9x) / - 3

    y=3x-3/7

    If the slopes of each equation are the same, then the lines are parallel. These two lines are parallel.

    Steps:

    1. Solve the first equation

    2. Subtract 3x on both sides

    Y = 3x + 1

    3. Your slope is 3

    4. Solve second problem

    5. Subtract 9x on both sides

    -3y=-9x + 7

    6. Divide everything by - 3

    Y = 3x + 7/-3

    7. Your slope is 3

    8. Your answer is that they are parallel. Parallel lines have the same slope
