In base-3 numbers, 2 + 2 = 11.
In base-4 numbers, 2 + 2 = 10.
In any base larger than 4, including
our familiar every-day decimal system, 2 + 2 = 4.
I can't imagine why you would really need to post this question
and look for answers on the internet. Perhaps, as you have said,
you are just very confused.

The answer is 4, it's just 2+2=4, for example I have two apples, you have two apples also. How many apples do we have in total? (2+2=4)
