Work out the value of xy+y when x=-3 and y=2

    First we replace the values

    So xy+y becomes (-3) (2) + 2

    Then we multiply - 3 times 2, which equals - 6

    -3*2=-6

    Then we add 2 to - 6, which equals - 4

    -6+2=-4

    So xy+y=-4
