Nikki is looking at 2 different options for a new cell phone plan.

Plan A has a flat fee of $50 plus an additional fee of $0.04 per minute.

Plan B has a flat fee of $60 plus an additional fee of $0.02 per minute.

After how many minutes would it take for both options to cost the same amount?

    General equations Plan A = 50 + 0.04x, Plan B = 60 + 0.02x

    Set them equal 50 + 0.04x = 60 + 0.02x

    Rearrange and simplify 0.02x = 10

    Divide by 0.02 x = 500 minutes
