Shirts are $9 each. You have a coupon that saved you $5 off your purchase. How much will it cost you to buy 6 shirts?

    First, multiply the cost of each shirt by how many shirts bought. The answer would be 54. So next you would subtract the 5 dollar discount from the total cost of the shirts. 54-5 = 49
