Problem A rectangle has a width of 10 centimeters. The rectangle's length is 4 times its width. What is the perimeter of the rectangle?

    Let W = 10 cm and L = 4W = 40 cm

    Then P = 2L + 2W = 2 (4W) + 2 (W) = 10W = 100 cm

    Check: Does 2 (10 cm) + 2 (40 cm) = 100 cm? YES
