What is the expression that is equivalent to 3 (2p-3) ?

    It is 6p-9. Using the distributive property, we can do:

    3*2=6, add a p is 6p, so now it's

    6p-3, but we still have to do 3*3, which is 9, so now its

    6p-9. Just use the distributive property.

    This is equivalent to 6p - 9 bc you have to use the distributive property to simplify it
