A dozen boxes is 12 boxes, with 24 pens inside. So, the man had a total of 288 highlighters pens to start with. he then repackaged 5 boxes times six highlighters = 30 highlighters taken from original 288. He sold for $3.00 times 5 boxes = 15$ He originally spent $96 to purchase his highlighters. So 288-30 = 258pens left after repackaged boxes ... 258 divided by 3=86. 86 times 2$=172$ So 172$ plus $15 = 187 $. Subtract $96 spent from $187 resale value, and you get a profit of 91$
