True of false: If a right triangle has legs of length 8 and 15, then we know the length of the hypotenuse is the square root of 8^2 + 15^2, which equals 17.

    True would be the answer because the pythagorean theorem is a^2+b^2=c^2, and to find c, the formula would be

    (length of hypotenues) square root of c^2=square root of (8^2+15^2)
