The perimeter of rectangle is 294 cm. The width is 57 cm. Find the length.

    The perimeter of a rectangle is length + length + width + width (also know as the distance around the whole shape) so an equation like this can be written:

    294 = 57 + 57 + 2l (as in the length times two, or length + length)

    294 = 114 + 2l

    180 = 2l

    90 = l

    So the length of this rectangle is 90
