A motorcyclist travels 98 km in 1 hour 10 minutes. calculate his average speed, giving your answer in kilometres per hour.

    84 because 98/70 = 1.4, 1.4x60=84

    10 minutes is 1/6 of an hour.

    1 hour and 10 minutes = 7/6 hours

    98 km / 7/6 = 98 x 6/7 = (98 x 6) / 7 = 588/7 = 84 km per hour
