Mr parsons bought 293 apples to make pies for his shop. 6 apples are needed for each pie. if Mr parson makes the greatest number of apple pies possible, how many pies will be left over

    Well I think you mean how many apples will be left over so I will answer that.

    You will have 48 pies with 5 apples left over because 293 divided by 6 (which is how many apples it takes to make a pie) = 48 whole pies and remainder 5.

    293 divided by 6 = 48.8333333

    6 x 48 = 288

    293 - 288 = 5

    5 apples left over, with a total of 48 pies made.
