Write equivalent expression in different forms to show relationship

    Let's consider this algebraic expression: 2 (x ^2 + x). If we substitute 1 for the variable, the expression equals 4. But, what about the expression 2x^2 + 2x? If, again, we substitute 1 for the variable x, we still get 4.
