The Equation for this is A squared plus B squared equals C squared. So this would become 3 squared (9) plus 8 squared (64) equals your hypotenuse squared. When you add these together you get 73. You then must find the square root of 73 which is 8.5. The length of the hypotenuse is 8.5.
