    The slope-intercept form: y = mx + b

    m - slope

    b - y-intercept

    We have y = - 7x + 3

    m = - 7

    b = 3 → y-intercept

    x-intercept (put y = 0 and solve for x).

    -7x + 3 = 0 subtract 3 from both sides

    -7x = - 3 divide both sides by (-7)

    x = 3/7

    Answer: y-intercept = 3 and x-intercept = 3/7
