the claim is that the portion of peas with yellow pods is equal to. 25 or 25%. the sample statistics from one experiment include 580 peas with 176 of them having yellow pods. Find the value of the test statistic.

    The value of the test statistic can be worked out by finding how many yellow pods were found out of the total peas.

    Therefore, you do 176 over 580 (176/580) and you should find that the test statistic is 0.30 or 30% (nearest tenth).
