    I've solved it by using this sequence:

    x, 2x-3,

    2 (2x-3) - 3,

    2 (2 (2x-3) - 3) - 3,

    2 (2 (2 (2x-3) - 3) - 3) - 3

    So the answer is D) 16x-45.
