    6 (x) - 6 (3) - x=4+3x

    6x - 18 - x = 4 + 3x

    combine like terms (6x, - x)

    5x - 18 = 4 + 3x

    5x - 3x - 18 = 4 + 3x - 3x

    2x - 18 = 4

    2x - 18 + 18 = 4 + 18

    2x = 22

    2x / 2 = 22 / 2

    x = 11
