Janae paid $12 for a shirt that was on sale. The sale price of the shirt was 1/3 of the original price p. The equatiin 1/3p = 12 can be used to find the original price of the shirt. What was the orginal price of the shirt

    P = 36

    12 x 3 = 36

    P divide by 12 = 3

    3 x 12 = P = 36
