Rich is buildinga travel crate for his dog thomas a beagle mix who is about 30 inches long 12inches wide 24 inches tall for thomas to travel safley his crate needs to be a rectangle prism that is about 12 inches greater than his legnth and width and 6 inches. greater. than his height what is the volume of the travel crate that rich should build

    First your going to just add 12 inches to the dogs actual lenght because you want it to be 12 inches bigger so do 12+30 which equals 42 inches, then your going to take 12+12 because you wanted the cage to be 12 inches grater then the dogs actual width also so that is going to equal 24 then your going to add 6 to how tall the dog is which is 24 inches. So 24+6=30 so finally you need to find the volume the volume of a rectangular prism is alway BxHxW so your total answer consits of 42x24x30 so your anwer is 30,240 inches
