A rectangular room is 4 meters longer than it is wide, and its perimeter is 28 meters. Find the dimension of the room.

    Well you would start by drawing a rectangle. Label one side W and One side (W+4) then you would set up this equation

    2 (W+4) + 2W=28

    2W+8+2W=28

    4W+8=28

    4W=20

    W=5

    So that's the width then you will plug it into (W+4)

    (5+4) = 9

    So you have a room that has a length of 9 and a width of 4
