In a flower garden, there are 4 tulips for every 8 daisies. If there are 24 tulips, how many daisies are there?

    There are 48 tulips because 4:8 is the ratio of tulips to daises. Or 1:2. Therefore, 24:? Would be 24:47. The answer is 48 tulips.
