(x + 1 < - 1) ∩ (x + 1 < 1)

(x + 1 ≤ 1) ∩ (x + 1 ≥ 1)

    Middle option.

    (x + 1 ≤ 1) ∩ (x + 1 ≥ 1)

    If you work both sides separately you get

    (x ≤ 0) ∩ (x ≥ 0)

    which reduces nicely to

    x = 0
