    So, numbers are = 4.000, 0.004, 0.040, 0.400

    The statements can be like =

    In 4.000, the 4 is in ones place.

    In 0.400, the 4 is at tenth place.

    In 0.040, the 4 is at hundredth place.

    In 0.004, the 4 is at thousandth place.
