Briefly explain why ferritic and austenitic stainless steels are not heat-treatable.

    Ferritic and Austenitic stainless steels are not heat treatable since the term "heat treatable" means that Martensite may be made to form in a relatively easy way after it has quenched the Austenite from an increased temperature.
